5 REASONS the Well Read Meat Head is being created, (An introduction on why this is being written)…

  1. The internet is good for somethings and not others:

The internet is a wonderful thing. Almost anything that you can possibly think of can be accessed and found out and probably, to be honest, already has a Youtube channel for it. But when it comes to some things, it can really be a nightmare. Why?

Information overload. There is just too much information out the for people who just want the solid facts without everyone else contradicting each other. Sometimes, the places to go, and the people with the solid information are on page 2 of a google search and thus, will never be found.

2. People like to overdue it.

Do you like cats? Maybe, maybe not. Do you know that people dress their cats up in sweaters? Probably not, because why would you? Why would a cat even need a sweater? So the fact that there is probably a website dedicated to what is the best type of material to use for cat sweaters probably wouldn’t appeal to you.

But that is the nature of humans. We love to over complicate.

No matter what you learn about weightlifting, powerlifting, etc. You are going to go down the rabbit hole, maybe that is how you got here. And as you continue down the rabbit hole, you are bound to learn things that you may or may not be interested in, but alas, no matter what you find, you are sure to see a number of websites that will be at war with each other debating this or that’s efficiency, usage, dosage, routine, etc.

3. A lot of lifters are conceded, narcissistic and only interested in GainZZ

The not so great thing about lifting are some of the people who do it, and that goes for most everything. There are a lot of political, racist, and other terrible opinions that get wrapped up in both good and bad information. People are mean, and often times the loudest, and the worst of the bunch can get seen the most, an example of this is the late Rich Piana who was pushing the same sorts of stuff that killed him at the young age of 46.

4. There is a huge capitalist push, obviously.

There is a huge push for people to sell you something. These days everyone has a supplement and a book or an ebook at least. Everyone wants to tell you that this or that is bad because it is not theirs. Only their (enter supplement name here) can get you (enter sought after attribute here). Or why this routine is the one that works for everyone and gets you SHREDDED! That is why somebody who is selling nothing but their knowledge and experience can be a big help. So buy my ebook… just kidding.

Yes, this all goes in your body. Hopefully not.

5. Everyone is different, and there is a lot of good stuff, but very rarely in one place.

Some people are right about some things, some people are wrong about some things, rarely is one person right or wrong about anything. That is why there will be a lot of references in the upcoming posts that reference different websites and different people. Some people know their nutrition, some people know their routines, other people really know their equipment. But do they all know the best of everything? No, because it is their own SUBJECTIVE experience. Just like everyone wants to push their own diet, their own parenting, their own face wash, everyone learns and adapts differently and thus has different approaches.

The purpose of this blog is to give you an OBJECTIVE and HONEST information. This is written for the person who wants to get into lifting, who wants to increase their strength and have a healthier lifestyle but doesn’t know how to sift through the nonsense. I am here to give you the best of the web in one place.

Welcome to Well Read Meat Head

Not me, by the way.
