6 warnings and tips for Americans who want to move to Canada

--

One of the funniest things I ever saw was when panicked MAGA chuds started declaring on social media that they were moving to Canada following the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Terrified of the coming “wokeness” (i.e. caring about other human beings), they were somehow under the impression that a libertarian utopia awaited to the North and that they would be accepted with open arms.

In the wake of Donald Trump’s return to the White House a few months ago and his subsequent attacks on the democratic, legal, and social norms that have made America the dominant force in the world for like 100 years, the original left-wing “I’m moving to Canada” push is back.

While I love the United States (particularly my home away from home, Las Vegas) and I too mourn the current state of affairs down there, I must warn my southern neighbors to expect some jarring surprises if and when you arrive.

Luckily for you, I’ve also included some tips to help you navigate your arrival in the Great White North.

There are many great things about living in the Great White North. Allow me to give you some tips and warnings before you move to Canada, however.

Hockey is life

The first thing you should do if you want to move to Canada is start learning everything you can about ice hockey.

Yes, I am dead serious.
