If you are interested in writing for Wellness Travel Adventures, please follow these basic guidelines before submitting your article.

Spelling/Grammar: Please read your article before submitting. Check for spelling, grammar and typos. Grammarly is a great resource. Always double check the spelling of names of people and places. Articles should be written using AP Style. I will give stories a final edit, but if you pre-edit, it will make my job easier.

Fact Checking: Facts/stats/research make articles more interesting, but please double check your facts (dates, times, places, etc.) and link to stats/research. Also, please use reliable sources, such as reputable organizations, not someone’s personal blog.

Images: We require that writer’s submit at least one image for each article. You must also include a photo caption describing what the photo is of. We take copyright infringement seriously. Do not submit a photo with license to use the image.

Here are ways to source images:

  • Submit a photo that you took yourself. This is the easiest way to go, but make sure the image is not too small or blurry, and that it is directly related to the content of the article. A great image will help your article stand out and attract the attention of readers. Make it a good one!
  • If you did not take the image yourself, you must get permission from the photographer and provide his/her name so that we can give credit.
  • Reach out to public relations representatives. If you’re writing about a place (hotel, spa, restaurant, destination), you can try contacting a PR rep to see if they can provide images. They usually have professional high-resolution imagery that can be published. Tip: On the website of the business your writing about, look for a “Press” page. That’s usually where you’ll find the contact.
  • Purchase images from online stock photography libraries, such as iStock, Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Envato Elements.
  • Royalty-Free images may be downloaded from websites such as Pexels, you’ll need to provide name of photographer and where it was downloaded from.
  • DO NOT download an image from the Internet without the right to use.
