UC San Diego’s behavioral economist Uri Gneezy, whose Israeli daycare study was featured in Chapter 1 of Freakonomics and his own recent book The Why Axis, is partnering with Wellth to serve as the Principal Investigator on an NIH-funded study. The goal is to test two types of incentives — pure financial vs. those targeted at specific mental accounts—to help people with hypertension to perform self-management more regularly and reduce their blood pressure.
