Peach Mango Smoothie Recipe
Peaches are in season right now, and my efforts to get some dehydrated and put away for the winter are being hampered by the fact that they taste AMAZING fresh and I want to eat them all up, not dehydrate them! I compromised with the last case I bough. One third into the freezer, one third into the dehydrator, and one third into our mouths 🙂
I like to start off most mornings with a smoothie of fresh and/or frozen ingredients, and this morning’s concoction was good enough to share.
Ingredients
- 1 fresh ripe peach (or 1/2 to 3/4 cup frozen peach chunks)
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, or coconut yogurt or your favourite yogurt alternative
- 1/2 cup frozen mangos
- 2–3 tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 cup chilled ginger lemon herbal tea (or whatever other flavour you want)
- dash of vanilla (I use plain yogurt, so the vanilla is good for sweet and flavour — if you use vanilla yogurt then go ahead and skip the vanilla)
- optional — if your mangos or peaches aren’t frozen you might want to throw in a few ice cubes to get that super chilly, slushy effect
Equipment
- vitamix or other food processor
The Process
STEP 1: Well, there’s really only one actual step to this. Throw everything in the blender and blend it all up until it’s smooth and creamy.
STEP 2: Put it into your stomach, via a glass or your favourite drinking jar!
