What is essential for growing a start-up in web3?

The key factor for a start-up’s growth is not VC funding, as many may assume. It is their people. A start-up with a cohesive and results driven culture can power growth to a high scale. The company’s culture also brings together an active internal and external synergy. It also encourages your entire team to remain an active part of the talent acquisition process.

What are the pillars of Welook?

🌎 Remote first start-up.

Anyone can work from wherever it suits them best, their bedroom in Buenos Aires, a cafe in Miami or at a co-working space in Rio de Janeiro. Everyone contributing to Welook development must lead their own project and be accountable for its goals and deliverability. We try to work in-sync in our Discord channel, but we document our work as we were working asynchronously.

Blockchain is a technology that is used to bring transparency, ownership and trust-less systems. Web3 brings a new era of the internet, it changes fast and frequently. We work, build and deliver at high speed.

🦸 People’s experiences at the core.

People are the heart of Welook. Although we bring a digital approach to solve different social topics, we always highlight what people are experiencing. Welook creates digital tools to improve real-life interactions.

Our team is growing in 2023.

During 2022 we’ve seen an exponential curve for product development, feature releases, and crypto events jumping onto the Welook wagon. Next year we will see a higher demand for our web3 social platform and we’re already preparing for that, building a larger team from an outstanding talent pool.

One way to attract top performers that are natural culture champions is to hire for cultural fit. Focusing on cultural fit will help improve engagement, build a unique employee experience, and it will make everyone feel more connected.

Welook promotes token gated experiences that help onboard more people to web3. Creating social tools using decentralized interactions and relationships will result, at the end of the day, in a better and more fair society.

Clear communication is the only path to understanding ourselves, each other and other organizations around us. We can’t afford to assume we know what others are . We ask questions, lots of questions. Furthermore, we bring up topics and issues when it is relevant and urgent.

As a remote first team, we replace face to face conversation with frequent digital dialogue, where our conversations lead to action. That’s why it is essential to safeguard clear communication.

Be patient but determined.

We understand the diversity of our projects and of our clients, every single one of them can take different time of completion and a wide array of challenges. This doesn’t stop us, we continue persevering firmly and with flexibility, following up to meet deadlines.

We outperform humbly.

We strive to do better every time. We are involved and focused on our training to improve performance to achieve greater results. Externally, we celebrate our wins humbly while keeping our mind focused on our next goals.

Self-care: Feel good in order to do great.

We believe that if we want “to achieve greatness with others”, we “must” feel as great as with oneself. In consequence, working the inside before going to the outside, we prioritize physical and mental health above everything else, cultivating and sustaining healthy habits. Striving to be our best version, we can inspire other to be their best selves too.

Web3 is one of the fastest growing tech industries of our era. Being able to learn constantly and embrace new challenges is naturally what we do every day. We are eager to bring new approaches and change 180” if needed. We are always learning, there are no dumb questions. Not knowing is OK. Not learning is not. We actively listen to expand our knowledge and grow our relationships with others.
