Wemade’s NILE finalizes the “Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 NFT”

Wemade’s WEMIX3.0-based DAO & NFT platform, NILE (NFT Is Life Evolution), has finalized “Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023” NFT.
The “Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP” is NILE’s first sports NEITH NFT collection designed to bring unique experiences for both golfers and the gallery. After rankings were determined at the end of the 2023 Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, top 60 NFTs were created with the players according to their rankings. Best records and achievements from the season were also added to the NFTs.
The NFTs awarded to golfers contain prize money (WEMIX) that corresponds to their rankings. Starting from January 1, 2024, they can either own their NFTs or exchange them for WEMIX by burning them at “NEITH Station.”
Wemade plans to introduce sports NFT collections in various sports starting with the “Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP,” aiming to create a new sports culture that both athletes and the audience can enjoy together.

Meanwhile, Wemade successfully hosted the “WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023” held at Busan Haeundae Beach Golf & Resort from November 18th to 19th. The championship included top 24 golfers from the WEMIX POINT rankings.

㈜위메이드(대표 장현국)의 위믹스3.0(WEMIX3.0) 기반 DAO & NFT 플랫폼 ‘나일(NILE, NFT Is Life Evolution)’에서 발행한 ‘레이스 투 위믹스 챔피언십 2023(Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023)’ NFT가 최종 완성됐다.
‘레이스 투 위믹스 챔피언십’은 선수와 팬 모두에게 색다른 즐거움을 선사하기 위해 탄생한 나일의 첫 번째 스포츠 네이트 NFT 컬렉션이다. 한국여자프로골프(KLPGA) 투어 2023 시즌 종료 후 위믹스 포인트 최종 랭킹이 확정됨에 따라, 1위부터 60위까지 총 60개의 NFT가 순위별 선수 이미지로 변경됐다. 올 시즌 활약한 기록과 업적 등도 추가됐다.
선수들에게 수여할 NFT에는 순위별 상금(위믹스)이 들어있다. 선수들은 NFT를 소장하거나, 2024년 1월 1일부터 나일의 ‘네이트 스테이션’에서 소각해 위믹스로 교환할 수 있다.
위메이드는 ‘레이스 투 위믹스 챔피언십’을 시작으로 다양한 종목에서 스포츠 NFT 컬렉션을 선보이고, 이를 통해 선수와 팬 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 새로운 참여형 스포츠 문화를 조성하고 활성화할 계획이다.

한편, 위메이드는 11월 18일부터 이틀간 부산 해운대비치 골프앤리조트에서 ‘위믹스 챔피언십 2023’을 성황리에개최했다. 대회에는 위믹스 포인트 랭킹 최상위 24명의 선수가 참여했다.
