GameFi Liquidity Pool Estimated APR Fix and Compensation

During our review of the WEMIX platform’s overall system in this era of change, we identified an error in the estimated APR (Annual Percentage Rate) representation of the GameFi liquidity pool.

This error has been corrected upon the publication of this notice and has been reflected in our services. As a result, we will be providing compensation to liquidity providers who supplied liquidity during the period when the expected APR was misrepresented. Please refer to the details below.

[What is Liquidity Pool?]

A liquidity pool is a system that collects liquidity to ensure the stable operation of swap services and supports liquidity when transactions occur. By supplying liquidity to the pool, participants earn a portion of the fees generated by swap services based on their share of the total liquidity.

Currently, GameFi supports liquidity pools structured around two types of tokens: those based on the Play Chain and those based on the Mainnet.

[Mainnet-Based Liquidity Pool APR Misrepresentation]

While Mainnet-based liquidity pools are supposed to be calculated differently from the Play Chain-based pools, the calculation was found to be the same, resulting in the APR representation of a higher display than the actual expected yield. Consequently, liquidity providers who supplied liquidity to the pool affected by this issue earned returns calculated automatically based on the fees generated, rather than the falsely displayed expected APR. While providers received their fair share of actual earnings from the Mainnet pools, we acknowledge the misrepresentation and plan to compensate liquidity providers who contributed during the period affected by this error.

[Compensation for APR Misrepresentation]

Beginning from the setup of the WEMIX3.0 Mainnet-based liquidity pools up to the normalization of APR representations, we will review the discrepancy between expected and actual earnings for liquidity providers in these pools and directly distribute compensation tokens to their wallet addresses.

• Compensation date : July
  > The compensated token to the PLAY Wallet must be transferred to an external digital asset wallet or to the exchange before September 25th. (Reference : PLAY Wallet Region Restriction)
• Compensated Wallet : Wallet that supplied liquidity to the Mainnet-based Liquidity Pool.
• Criteria : Compensation will be made depending on the deposit period and value based on snapshot of Liquidity pool volume at July 4th, 15:00 (GMT+9)

Due to the technical complexities involved in determining rewards based on the proportional stake amount and period in the total liquidity pool size of paired digital assets, we appreciate your understanding that this process may take some time.

해당 오류는 본 공지가 게재됨과 동시에 수정되어 서비스에 반영되었으며, 예상 연 수익률이 오표기된 기간 동안 유동성을 공급했던 공급자분들에게는 보상안을 마련하여 지급할 예정입니다. 자세한 내용은 아래를 참고해주시기 바랍니다.

[유동성 풀 (Liquidity Pool) 이란?]

유동성 풀이란 스왑 서비스가 원활히 운영될 수 있도록 유동성을 모아두고, 거래 발생 시 유동성을 지원하는 시스템입니다.

풀에 유동성을 공급하고 그 대가로 수익을 얻을 수 있습니다. 사용자가 보유한 가상 자산을 유동성 풀에 예치, 즉 유동성을 제공하면 전체 유동성에 대한 지분을 얻게 되며 스왑 서비스에서 발생한 수수료의 일부를 얻게 됩니다.

현재 GameFi에서 지원하는 유동성 풀은 Play 체인 기반 토큰, 그리고 Mainnet 기반 토큰 이 두 가지의 스왑 수수료의 대한 수익 구조로 구성되어 있습니다.

[Mainnet 기반 유동성 풀 APR 표기 오류]

Mainnet 기반 유동성 풀의 APR 표기는 Play 체인 기반 유동성 풀과 다르게 산출되어야 함에도 동일하게 산출되어 실제 예상 연 수익률보다 높게 표기가 되고 있었습니다. 이에 따라, 이슈가 발생한 유동성풀에 유동성을 공급한 공급자는 오표기된 예상 수익률에 따른 수익이 아닌 실제 유동성 풀에 발생한 수수료 수익을 기초로 자동으로 산정된 수익을 얻었습니다. 공급자들은 해당 유동성 풀에 발생한 실제 수익을 정상적으로 분배받아 간 것이지만 예상 수익률 표기에 오류가 있었던 만큼 표기 오류가 발생했던 기간동안 해당 유동성 풀에 유동성을 공급한 공급자들에게 보상을 지급할 예정입니다.

[APR 표기 오류에 대한 보상]

위믹스 플레이팀은 위믹스3.0 Mainnet 기반 유동성 풀 구성 시점부터 예상 연 수익률 표기가 정상화된 시점까지 해당 유동성 풀의 유동성 공급자에게 오표기된 예상 수익과 실제 수익과의 차이를 검토한 후 해당 유동성 공급자의 월렛 주소로 보상토큰을 지급할 예정입니다.

• 보상 지급 일정 : 7월 중
  > PLAY Wallet으로 보상이 지급된 경우 9월 25일까지 외부 디지털 자산 지갑 또는 거래소로 이전하여야 함 (참고 : PLAY Wallet 서비스 국가 제한 공지)
• 보상 월렛 : Mainnet 기반 유동성풀에 유동성을 공급했던 월렛
• 보상 기준 : 7월 4일 15시 (GMT+9) 스냅샷의 유동성풀 규모를 기준으로 예치 기간과 예치 밸류를 기준으로 보상 산정

Pair가 되는 두 디지털자산의 총 유동성 풀의 규모에 대한 지분율을 기준으로 예치 기간과 예치 수량을 고려하여 유동성 풀의 리워드가 발생하는만큼 여러 기술적 확인이 필요 하기에 다소 시일이 걸리는 점에 대해 양해를 부탁드립니다.
