Facilitator — Nnennaya Fakoya Smith

On Saturday the 16th of February, we kicked off the maiden edition of the Tourism Technology Boot Camp. During the week, we passed around curated courses to our participants in order to get them on the same wavelength as the facilitators come weekend. On the 22nd of February, the first physical event held.

We had Nnennaya Fakoya-Smith (popularly known as ajala nene), to lecture our participants on soft skills and its relevance to the tourism business. Nene herself is a tourism enthusiast. She is a tour broker, travel blogger and even a promoter. All these make her very qualified to take on this subject as no one can run a successful business like hers without forming and solidifying interpersonal relationships with her customers. She did a great justice to her subject matter and from the positive reactions from our students, we believe she hit all the marks.

Facilitator — Anago Osho

We also had Anago Osho who is an award winning tour guide and promoter on board to impart his knowledge on the responsibilities of a tour guide. As a guide, it is imperative that many measures are in place to ensure the comfort of the client(s) and that the value for their money is maximized. He was very energetic and his session was most interactive and insightful. The kind one would expect after spending many years in the business.

Last but not the least, our very own co-founder Chima Keec Ezeokoye, took the participants on branding and it’s different structures. As business owners, it is important that we are memorable, distinct and that our service is top notch. All this is necessary for successful branding and by extension, business.

All in all, the first week of the #TTBlagos boot camp was wholesome and successful. We look forward to creating more memories and business owners in the tourism sector.
