We’ve just launched the WePower platform’s Alpha version 1.

I welcome you all to sign up and test it out. The released version will be used to start the acquisition of green energy buyers, and renewable energy producers that face capital issues, as well as to advertise the first confirmed green energy auctions. The very first 6 confirmed solar energy projects are listed on the platform.

Until the full business launch later this year, we are going to:

  1. Present more renewable energy auctions on the platform;
  2. Gradually unlock more and more platform’s features and functions.

The Alpha version of the platform allows us to present green energy projects seeking financing through smart energy contracts, express interest to participate in the listed auctions, and see the projected donated green energy pool.

As you walk through the platform, you can see that the “Dashboard”, “Marketplace” and “Portfolio” functionalities remain locked. And the auction page doesn’t allow you to participate in the auctions yet. I encourage you to check out our video walkthrough from April to find out more about the essence of these three functionalities.

These are the sketches of Dashboard window and Auction’s details window which will be unlocked with further platform’s development.

“Dashboard”, “Marketplace” as well as “Portfolio” feature will be made available as soon as real energy data will be added to the platform. To add this data in our target markets, we need to integrate our platform with data hubs of at least 3 different transmission system operators and approx. 8–10 distribution system operators. We start with projects in three markets — Estonia, Spain and Australia, and later in the process add more countries.

These are the sketches of Marketplaces’ buy & sell windows which will be unlocked with further platform’s development.

After integrating energy consumption data of WePower platform users, we will be able to offer the green energy products that fit their profiles best. The platform will show to the users how buying energy in a particular auction, or on the marketplace affects the consumption profile: how much they save on the energy bills; how much CO2 they save; what is the composition of the consumed energy etc.

To platform users / WPR token holders based outside of the first three target markets, we are going to offer a slightly different portfolio experience without the consumption side.

Above all, we are actively working on the WPR depositing functionality to be very soon demonstrated in good detail the way WPR token will be used on the platform. The smart energy contracts for Ethereum and EOS are built and are currently in the technology test mode in Estonia. Once the tests are completed and the contracts are audited, we will share more data with you.

Stay tuned for the upcoming AMA session with cofounders where you can get answers to whatever interests you may have about the platform.
