The WeSolar CSP team came together in Princeton’s Tiger Labs on Sunday to not only celebrate Super Bowl LIII, but also meet remote team members and network with climate change activists and experts in the industry. Complete with professional headshots and great food, the gathering allowed the team to discuss strategy and understand the bright future ahead.

The event kicked off with mingling and networking. Team members got a chance to meet each other, some for the first time in person; they were also able to meet experts in the fields of finance and marketing, as well as climate change activists. Networking was closely followed by a fun and informative cabaret on climate change, put on by Steve Hiltner of the Princeton chapter of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby. First was a punchy monologue on carbon dioxide, followed by a skit featuring WeSolar’s very own Lawrence Anglin.

The afternoon then continued with a speech by Yoseph Elkaim, business and marketing strategy expert and co-founder of OmniLabs Advisory Partners, a boutique management consulting firm. Yoseph cited an experience in one of his talks where he polled the audience to ask about how people react when they hear about or experience the effects of climate change. About 60% of the audience said they had become well aware of it, thinking and acting according. The rest said they remained indifferent. To that 40%, Yoseph made an analogy between the healthcare system and climate change; that is, despite the indifference of the 40%, the remaining 60% must work to answer the call and do what’s right for the planet.

WeSolar CSP has an exciting journey ahead as it continues to strive for a cleaner, greener, and brighter future. Stay tuned for updates, and follow our team on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
