Good evening, everyone! Tonight expect clouds to overspread the area with lows ranging from 40 to 45 degrees. Showers are possible, especially north.

Friday will start off mostly dry, but light rain will begin pushing into western areas by mid-morning. Showers are possible for all before that as well. Rain will overspread the area by late Friday afternoon, becoming heavy at times south and east. High temperatures Friday will range from 44 to 53 degrees.

Friday evening heavy rain will overspread southern and eastern zones. There is concern that continuous heavy rainfall over a 4–7 hour period may lead to some isolated flooding, as seen in the shaded green area on the map below. The rest of the area will see rain, but most likely not enough to cause many flooding concerns outside of rivers that are already running high due to rains earlier on in the week.

Updated 5 PM Thu 5/4/17

Lows Friday night will range from 43 to 52 degrees.

Saturday expect rain to linger across eastern areas, while moving out of western zones, though drizzle and showers are likely to linger for those areas as well.

By Saturday evening steady rain should be cleared out of most of the area. In general, many look to see between 1 and 2 inches of rain, while areas in the shaded green zone should see between 2 and 3 inches of rain. Isolated amounts towards 4 inches of rain are possible near Rockland. The mountains will generally see around a half inch of rain out of this system.

Have a great evening and watch for isolated flooding tomorrow night, especially if traveling in the shaded green region above!
