Good evening, everyone! Tonight will feature increasing clouds, with some light mixed precipitation likely moving through the area. Precipitation appears showery through dawn at this point, but nonetheless some slick spots are possible late. Precipitation will start as snow for northern and eastern areas, but will likely begin as a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain south and west. Again, only very light precipitation is expected through dawn. Lows will range from 15 to 30 degrees, and will be achieved early as temperatures slowly rise throughout the night, especially southwest.

Monday morning steadier precipitation will move in from the west. Northern and eastern areas will begin as all snow, while south and west expect a mix to start. Southern areas will eventually warm above freezing, though sleet may continue to mix in for a while across eastern areas, allowing slick travel to continue through afternoon. In addition, interior western areas may remain below freezing for a time as it rains, allowing for freezing rains. Northeastern sections will keep snow for much of the event, allowing 3 or 4 inches of new accumulation. See maps below to gauge the impact of each type of wintry precipitation on your area tomorrow.

By evening much of the steadiest precipitation will pull off to the southeast, though northern areas will continue to see light mixed showers, mainly consisting of snow and sleet, but with some freezing rain as well, through early morning Tuesday, so some slick spots may remain there. Southern areas will dip back below freezing by a bit, especially inland, so some icy spots are likely. Lows will range from 27 to 36 degrees.

Tuesday expect mostly cloudy conditions for many, with some sun possible southwest. A shower will be possible areawide, but shouldn’t consist of any wintry precipitation. Highs will range from 34 to 50 degrees, coldest northeast, warmest interior southwest.

Tuesday night watch for rain to continue along the coast for a period of time before clearing early Wednesday. It’ll remain mostly cloudy. Lows will range from 29 to 37 degrees. Some patchy ice is possible south away from the shorelines.

Wednesday look for for gradually clearing skies, with warmer temperatures. Highs will range from 35 to 50 degrees. A snow shower is possible north.

Warmer and calm conditions continue through much of the work week. Have a great evening!
