We are nearing the end of our Development Programme and we couldn’t be more excited.

The platform is a real thing now. It came a long way from a concept prototype developed during the EXPLORE programme last year to an amazing deployed and fully functioning app.

Week 8 found us going deep into bug testing, which meant running all possible user journeys from all possible devices, several times, to assess its functionality and adjust any broken links.

We followed this bug testing process (as always led and supported by the amazing Yalla Coop team), and created a Notion action list of items to review, categorising them by user journey and creating a loom video journey to show the digital partner the user experience first hand. Loom videos helped them identify the problem much quicker and solve it efficiently.

Week 9 was about retesting after bug solving, and also another iteration of UX testing, this time with two therapists using the platform clinically with their clients for the first time. The outcomes of this UX will be reviewed in week 10 and will have an impact on the future work we’ll do on this project beyond this Development Programme.

Another important element of weeks 8 and 9 was future road mapping. As we approach the end of this programme, it is more important than ever to set a clear pathway for the future and identify which elements of development are still needed and also start planning for the implementation and evaluation phases.

Last but not least, reporting and checking up with our Catalyst mentor have been other important tasks we focused on these weeks. We have been sharing our progress since week zero in various ways, including these week notes and many other assets that are available on Catalysts Open Working website, and we are finalising all the pieces of reporting that are required and that we are so proud of. We are incredibly grateful for this Development opportunity and all that has been achieved!
