WeTrack Event Guide — March 2019
March is the month of Cheltenham Races and we couldn’t be more excited to be helping such a brilliant week take place!
Also previewed this month are South by Southwest in Austin, and the beginning of the 2019 Formula 1 season.
South by Southwest, Austin
March 8th to 18th
This epic catch-all media festival hits Texas every March and encompasses film, music, interactive media, comedy, gaming and conferences.
Its philosophy is expressed in this way: “SXSW [is] a tool for creative people to develop their careers by bringing together people from around the globe to meet, learn and share ideas.”
Total attendance surpassed 200,000 in 2018 and South by Southwest continues to get bigger and bigger.

Cheltenham Festival
March 12th to 15th
Our favourite! A classic of the British sporting calendar that has taken place in some iteration since 1860.
The Festival runs over four days and climaxes with the famous Gold Cup on the Friday; the Champion Hurdle, World Hurdle and Queen Mother Champion Chase are similarly iconic.
Cheltenham thrives on its local jockeys and horses, out of Britain and Ireland.
Ruby Walsh has incredibly been crowned top jockey for the Festival in nine years out of ten between 2008 and 2017. Who will steal the show in these ‘Four Days of Extraordinary’ in 2019?

Formula 1 season begins in Australia
March 14th to 17th
The 70th World Championship begins this month down-under. 2019 will see the 1000th World Championship race, winning which would be an immense honour.
The current star of the sport is our own Lewis Hamilton, who will be seeking to kick off his sixth title defence with a victory from the front in Melbourne; his team Mercedes are also seeking a sixth Constructors’ Championship.
