Less Hassle. Just Business.

After many interviews with founders and entrepreneurs, I’ve come to understand that the bulk of their pain points can be grouped into three categories: lack of time, misalignment with shareholders and lack of control of the business.

These problems come from a range of day-to-day tasks — including keeping a clear overview for the Cap Table, frequently reporting to shareholders, and using many different tools for equity management in general. However, one of the most common questions that comes up in my conversations with founders is about ESOPs — or Employee Stock Option Plans.

Feature Friday #5: Financials

For this week’s Feature Friday, we’re all about showing you the money! Let’s take a look at some of our favorite Financial Performance features in the WE.VESTR Dashboard.

Just like everything we make at WE.VESTR, our Financial features are meant to save you time, to keep your team aligned and to prepare you for what’s to come. Here are some of our favorite ways to do that:

  • Easy Financial Import: Quickly and easily import an audit file to see a live, responsive and secure view of the company’s Revenue, Costs, P&L and Cash Flow.
  • Financial Reporting: Experience WE.VESTR’s sleek reporting…

Another week, another WE.VESTR feature to preview! This week, we’re excited to show you the Document Management Feature.

We promise this is more exciting than it sounds. In fact, we think the Document Management is an unsung hero of the WE.VESTR platform, and we intend to sing it’s praises today.

As the hub for your company’s equity management and performance reporting, WE.VESTR also helps founders and investors stay organized with a full-suite of options for creating, uploading and sharing documents.

Feature Friday #3 — KPI Tracking

For this week’s Feature Friday, we’re excited to give you a first look at our KPI Tracking function within our Performance Section.

Our goal here at WE.VESTR is to make the lives of founders and investors simpler and the performance of their companies stronger. As a group of entrepreneurs ourselves, we knew that the platform needed to include more than financial statements and Cap Tables. Founders and investors want to keep everything in perspective with their vision, goals, and aspirations.

So, we built the KPI Tracking features to allow WE.VESTR users to integrate and manage their company KPIs alongside their…

Welcome back to Feature Friday, your weekly behind-the-screen look at what we are building at WE.VESTR.

This week, it’s all about you and your Cap Table. Say goodbye to sorting through different versions of your Cap Table on various shareholders’ laptops.

The Cap Table is the roadmap of your company’s equity … you should be in control. WE.VESTR provides a unified access point for founders, investors, and employees (in the case of an ESOP) to review and engage with the company’s Cap Table.

Start things off by setting up your Cap Table in three easy steps:

  • Initial Shares: Set up…

Every Feature Friday, we will give you a behind-the-screen look at what we are building at WE.VESTR.

We begin with an overview of the The Dashboard, an all-in-one view of the most essential equity management features. As seen below, founders and investors can use this overview to easily view finances, KPIs and the cap table — all on one screen.

See something you like? Well buckle up, because we’ll do a deep dive into all of the features you see in The Dashboard during Feature Fridays.

Here’s what to look forward to:

  • Cap Table Management: Organize your cap table, review…

Recently I wrote about what we are building with WE.VESTR and how we will tackle the inherent complexity of shareholder management. In this article, we’ll look into how we can unlock the free flow of capital within the company’s ecosystem, while enabling effortless change of ownership and cross-border investments without the intervention of a notary.

Sounds ambitious but we believe it’s the future. The key in achieving this is in adopting novel frameworks like the Startup Co-op. This model allows to align the entire supply chain of a startup, from the very start, and can greatly contribute to the cap…

Running an early-stage startup is a lot like being a first-time parent — many things you learn on the go and making mistakes is simply inevitable.

As a young entrepreneur, I’ve had my fair share of mistakes and learnings. But many of the challenges I’ve faced were not unique to me and my business only; fellow entrepreneurs ran into them too — obstacles we had little or no control over, leading to mistakes that hampered the growth of our businesses over and over again.

Flawed by design

But why? It comes down to the way we have structured the startup ecosystem and the…
