Become a Whale and Get Rewarded — How To !

Lock up your 1000 tokens to become a Whale and split the block rewards from the Reward fund. Block reward distribution and claiming is processed by a smart contract, but must be triggered manually. We will explain that in more detail below.

Become a Whale

If you have 1,000 WHL then the first thing that you will want to do is go to https://network.whalecoin.org/ and lock up your coins to become a Whale. You should do this as quickly as possible to make sure that you get your share of the rewards.

Click the “GO” button under “My Whale Account: Become a Whale/Stop Being a Whale”.

Then, under “My Whale Account” enter your WhaleCoin address containing 1000 WHL and the private key for this address. Your private key will not be stored on our server. Please always check the URL of the website when entering a private key to make sure that you are on the right webpage.

This address will also need to have enough WHL in it to cover the gas.

Click the “BECOME A WHALE” button to lock up your 1000 WHL and become a Whale.

If everything was entered correctly and you also had enough gas then you should see a confirmation message like this:

It will take about 30 seconds for your address to be verified. Check your address to see if you have been verified as a Whale:

You can stop being a Whale at anytime by unlocking your 1000 WHL on the same page. Your 1000 WHL will never be used to reward Followers or Whales.

Distribute Rewards

Now that you are a Whale, anytime rewards are distributed you will get your share.

Here’s how you would go about distributing the rewards: Go to https://network.whalecoin.org/ and click the “REWARDS” button.

Under “My Follower Account” you will see the number of WHL that have accumulated in the Reward fund and are available to be distributed among the Whales.

To distribute these tokens you will need to enter a WhaleCoin address and the private key for this address (this can be any address and this address will pay for gas). Once again, private keys will not be stored on our server. Please always check the URL of the website when entering a private key to make sure that you are on the right webpage.

Click the “DISTRIBUTE REWARDS” button and the rewards will be distributed among all of the Whales.

Check Rewards

On the same page you can enter your WhaleCoin address to check how many rewards have been distributed to you. This does not take any gas.

Claim Rewards

To claim your rewards you will need some gas. Enter the WhaleCoin address that is going to be paying the gas along with the private key for that address. One more time, private keys will not be stored on our server. Please always check the URL of the website when entering a private key to make sure that you are on the right webpage.

Enter the address that the rewards have been distributed to (your Whale address) and click the “CLAIM REWARD” button.

Did It Go Through?

To check and see if your rewards were successfully claimed go to https://explorer.whalecoin.org/ and search for your WhaleCoin address.

From your address page click on “Incoming Transactions”.

From there you should see any Incoming Transactions including the rewards that you have claimed.

Remember

Once you are a Whale you do not have to be the one to distribute the rewards. If anyone distributes them then you will get your fair share. You can check your rewards at any time for free. When you want to claim your rewards you will have to pay for gas.
