The WhaleCoin Network — A Preview
With the 200,000 Block just a few days away we wanted to share the platform that we’ve developed to manage Whale and Moderator accounts and to reward Followers.
Home Page
The main focus of the WhaleCoin Network’s home page will be a Whale Info chart which will serve as a leaderboard, showing how many posts each Whale has created and how many Followers they have. In the future we will look at ways to further incentivize good behavior from Whales with special rewards and abilities.
The home page also offers easy access to any action that a Whale or Moderator would need to take and has a search bar to check out stats on a specific Whale.
Check the Status of a Specific Whale
For each Whale address there will be a list of Posts that they’ve created, corresponding numbers of Followers for that Post, and the amounts that the Followers were rewarded.
Become a Whale
To become a Whale, all you need is the private key of a WhaleCoin address holding 1,000 WHL.
Appoint a Moderator
Whales can then appoint a Moderator via a separate WhaleCoin address. This address will be used to pay gas for transactions rewarding Followers and will also be rewarded 10% of any reward given out. (Whales can choose to be their own Moderators.)
Create a Post
To influence the blockchain and reward Followers a Moderator will first need to create a new Post. When they create a Post a unique ID number will be generated.
A Moderator can then publicize the Post/task on any social media platform that they choose and later collect the WhaleCoin addresses of Followers who completed the task.
Reward Followers
To reward Followers for completing the task the Moderator simply plugs in the unique Post ID and the addresses of all of the Followers to be rewarded. This will influence the blockchain to send rewards to these addresses.
