WhaleCoin Wallet — Desktop Wallet Walk-Through

In this introduction to the desktop wallet for WhaleCoin I’ll walk you through how to download the wallet for Mac, import your mywhalewallet.com accounts to the desktop wallet, and send and receive WhaleCoins.

To download the desktop wallet for WhaleCoin you’ll need to go to the Github release https://github.com/WhaleCoinOrg/DesktopWallet/releases.

Download the appropriate file for your system (Windows, Linux, or Mac). I’ll be demonstrating how to do the download on a Mac.

You’ll be prompted to drag WhaleCoin Wallet into your applications folder.

From your Applications folder open the WhaleCoin Wallet application.

If you get the message shown below, try this…

Right-click the WhaleCoin Wallet application and click “Open”.

You’ll be asked if you are sure you want to open the application. Click “Open”.

Now WhaleCoin Wallet is opening!

You’ll be asked if you want to allow the application to accept incoming network connections. Click “Allow”.

To link existing accounts and send and receive WhaleCoin you’ll need to use the main network. Go ahead and click on “Use the Main Network”.

Next you’ll be prompted to import any existing wallet files that you have. These would be your Keystore Files (UTC / JSON).

You can drag and drop a UTC or JSON keystore file as shown below.

From your Accounts Overview you can see your account balances.

If you want to import another wallet file later you can go to the “Accounts” tab and then click “Import Accounts” to get back to the import portal.

To send WhaleCoins to another address click the “Send” icon.

You can choose from different accounts to send from:

Then add an address to send WhaleCoin to and the amount of WhaleCoin to send.

Finally, scroll down and (after adjusting the fee if desired) click “Send”.

You will need to enter your password to confirm the transaction:

Now your transaction is in progress and awaiting confirmation.

Click on the transaction to get more information:

You can also check the transaction status on the WhaleCoin Block Explorer:

Now the 3 WHL have safely reached the new account:
