Part 3: Verifying and claiming a role

Before you begin:

⚠️ The ‘member’ role is needed to access the bot commands. Member role is available for free in the ⚡┥unlock-benefits channel. Details available here: WHALE Member Guide Part 1

⚠️ Interact with the bot only from the #💬┥bot-command channel at https://discord.gg/whale. Do not direct message (DM) the bot.

Type

/verify

select the ‘/verify address’ option from the OCTO command menu (see image below).

2. Paste in your ETHEREUM or POLYGON address (it’s the same address).
Use the wallet address that holds your $WHALE for your role/s.
ENS addresses not yet supported, do not use an ENS address.

3. Copy the verification code that the bot gives you.
You will have 15 minutes to complete this process before the code will no longer work.

4. Go to https://looksrare.org website.

5. Connect your wallet (you must be on the Ethereum network).

6. Click on your profile picture.

7. Click on your address or account name to access ‘accounts/me’ and find the edit profile option over on the right.

8. Click edit profile.

9. Add the custom verification code given to you by Octo to your “Bio”.

Do not use someone else’s code, otherwise they have approval to use your wallet.
Do not share your code, or other people will receive your tips!
After the verification process is complete, you may delete this code from your bio if you wish.
