Wharf Street Studios Shines at National Technology Week 2023, Celebrating Innovation and Empowering the Future
Wharf Street Studios, a leading technology company, recently participated in the prestigious National Technology Week 2023, held from May 11th to 14th at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. This significant event, organized by the Government of India, aimed to commemorate the country’s technological advancements while fostering innovation among the youth. As one of the chosen startups invited to showcase their innovative project, The Epiko, Wharf Street Studios had the privilege of presenting our cutting-edge gaming ecosystem to esteemed ministers, delegates, and enthusiastic attendees.
National Technology Day, observed annually on May 11th, holds great significance in India’s history. On this day in 1998, the nation achieved remarkable milestones through ‘Operation Shakti’, also known widely as Pokhran-II nuclear tests; the successful test firing of the Trishul missile; and the first test flight of the indigenously developed aircraft Hansa. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of these remarkable achievements, the Technology Development Board, along with 12 ministries and government departments, organized National Technology Week 2023. The central theme, “School to Startup — Igniting Young Minds to Innovate,” showcased India’s commitment to nurturing and empowering the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
The event’s primary focus was to promote the initiatives of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and highlight the contributions of startups across various sectors. The exhibition provided a platform for over 400 startups, including Wharf Street Studios. And, WSS was among 5 companies to showcase the project in the main hall under the AICTE/Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) pavilion on ‘Indovation — Building Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Educational Institutions.’ The event witnessed the participation of government officials, industry experts, and thousands of students, creating an ideal environment for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
As a leader in technology innovation, We had the honor of exhibiting our project, The Epiko, at the National Technology Week. The Epiko garnered significant attention from visitors, including ministers, students, and industry professionals. A unique gaming ecosystem that leverages emerging technologies such as Blockchain, AI, ML, XR, AR, and NFTs. On a mission to embrace the cultural heritage, mythologies, and legends from around the world through our enticing products, creating unique gaming experiences that are truly decentralized and giving players full ownership of their in-game assets.
One of the highlights of Wharf Street Studios’ participation was the opportunity to engage with students and ignite their curiosity in science and technology. Witnessing the enthusiasm and passion of young minds was truly inspiring, and the team took pride in sharing their knowledge and experiences with the future innovators of India. By connecting with students and showcasing The Epiko, Wharf Street Studios played a vital role in motivating and nurturing the country’s young talent.
