First of all, let’s refresh our minds with this little story. Here comes a blind man in this new environment. He doesn’t see, but he monitors everything in this new environment. As he settles down a bit, he tries to recognize the voices he hears there. He tries to identify smells around. He also feels the touch of every object within this environment. Then, if he trodes to this environment repeatedly, he would tell everything about this environment. He would be able to predict any circumstance in this environment. This story shows how intelligent humans are, but machines can be smarter nowadays. This story explains the meaning of AI (Artificial Intelligent).

AI can be defined as the science of making machines smart [Demis Hassabis]. Yes, indeed, we can teach machines how to learn, correct, sound, feel, write, hear, and predict. This is very interesting as humans can get tired or limit figures, time, and space, unlike machines. For instance, let’s take Facebook, which has billions of people in the community if humans identify and monitor the contents people share on Facebook. It would have been challenging to manage. But with the aid of Artificial Intelligence, Facebook can analyze people’s preferences and behaviours and predict which content and advert people will click. Let me dive into Social media platforms that largely depend on AI.

FACEBOOK

AI has primarily affected how Facebook users and businesses interact on the platform. More than 19 languages popularly known in the world now can be understood and used in Facebook messenger apps because of AI. AI also makes it possible for images to be quickly recognized by the Facebook app. This was possible with the launch of the Facebook DEEPFACE AI SYSTEM introduced in 2014. With TechCrunch Reports, fake news can be flagged automatically on Facebook, resulting in AI.

AI has been largely used in Social media platforms. However, I will limit my article only to its Facebook use. Meanwhile, businesses cannot function now without the use of AI. Media companies cannot manage, write or run a good advert now without the aid of AI. Humans have done a great exploit within the last two decades by teaching machines how to voice, hear, touch, feel, and predict. The big myth now is that machines have mastered this learning of algorithms to the extent that humans will have to learn from machines.

SNAPCHAT

Snapchat uses Artificial Intelligent software for many things. In filtering, Snapchat uses AI-powered lenses with small machine learning models to detect a face, differentiate its structures, and then create a 3D model of the face.

INSTAGRAM

Instagram utilizes the power of Facebook’s AI algorithm DeepText, a Deep Learning based text understanding engine, to provide users with a spam-free experience. It can also enable it to extract sentiments and intentions behind the text to differentiate between bots’ and users’ comments.

TWITTER

Twitter uses AI for different purposes; it detects racist content, hates speeches, and extremists, which is done by using the algorithms to flag up tweets using hate speeches and all kinds of ill comments.

LINKEDIN

LinkedIn uses data analysis and artificial intelligence to enhance the experiences of its users and customers. LinkedIn is exposed to it whether they receive employment recommendations, suggestions for connecting with others, or reading helpful stuff in their feeds.

I would conclude by throwing this big argument: would humans be learning machines in the nearest future?
