On today’s episode, I sat down with Jane Tran, Head of Solutions at Unqork, one of New York’s newest tech unicorns.

Unqork is a completely visual, no-code application platform that helps enterprises build complex + custom software faster, with higher quality and lower costs, all without a single line of code. The tool is sleek and simple, two words not often associated with large enterprise technology…

Backed by companies like Blackrock, Goldman Sachs, and Google, Unqork is serving some of the world’s top financial institutions (Goldman Sachs, Metlife, Voya, Liberty Mutual) as well as numerous healthcare firms, governments, and more. I had a blast perusing their website, loaded with case studies, use cases, and walkthroughs. Check it out here!

As Head of Solutions, Jane is the youngest member of Unqork’s executive team and has helped supercharge Unqork from nascent platform to billion-dollar company. Here are some bits from the episode and more on Unqork:

Benefits of Unqork Technology

Unqork touts 3 key advantages to building with no-code and layering on top of existing technology:

  • Build Faster: Build complex applications at least 3x faster than code/low-code solutions, driving speed to market over competitors
  • Improve Quality: Unqork customers see 99.99% uptime and 600x fewer defects than code-based enterprise software approaches
  • Reduce Cost: Benefit from at least 3x cost savings vs. the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for code/low-code enterprise software

Wharton Fintech actually visited Unqork last year, and at their office we built our own customer onboarding solution in <20 minutes. It was extremely easy to use and powerful, with fantastic APIs and integrations into financial data, Google data, and more. They have a continuously growing repository of real-world-tested templates that you can use to support the latest industry-specific use cases.

The platform’s capabilities are really impressive and continue to grow.

“Unqork is the first visual, drag & drop, no code application platform built for the enterprise….The problem we’re trying to solve really is code!

Technology gets antiquated quickly. With no code, you can now say, ‘You don’t have to think about it anymore. Using our platform, you’re never going to generate code, and even if there is new technology out there, we’ll make that swap on our end!’”

About Jane Tran

As Head of Solutions, Jane works directly with clients to set the direction for the platform in both user experience and functionality.

Since the start of her career, she has been helping leaders in the financial services industry assess and implement new business strategies. Over the last several years, she’s worked on internal strategy teams for C-Suites at JPMorgan Chase, Marsh, and MetLife. Most recently, she advised a portfolio of startups for Techstars Connection in partnership with AB Inbev.

Jane holds a B.A. in Economics and Policy Studies from Syracuse University.

In today’s episode, we cover:

  • The amazing problems Unqork solves for large enterprises
  • Unqork’s most powerful use cases
  • Their amazing projects during the pandemic with NYC and Washington DC
  • How she thrives as a young, female exec (and beats imposter syndrome)
  • And much more!
