What is the problem with Lea Michele?
Glee drama you probably don’t care about .. BUT WAIT!
If you’re like me and millions of other musical-drama enthusiasts, I’m going to assume that you’ve already seen the American musical-teen TV series ‘GLEE!’. If you haven’t, well, get on Netflix and binge the whole thing while you still can — just incase it leaves Netflix (you know how they are).
Lea Michele is the lead actor and face of the show ‘Glee’. She plays the role of Rachel Berry, a lead vocalist of a High School Glee club called ‘New Directions’ .. I know right?. Anyway, the show centres around the life and drama surrounding the lead actor (Lea Michele) competing with other high school glee clubs as well as her own glee club/choir members. She would do anything to make sure that she comes out on top even if it meant betraying other’s trust and stepping on MANY toes.
Fast forward to now, it’s starting to come to light that the character o screen, and one behind the scenes may be not be very different people, or at least they have similar traits — stepping on toes.
In 2016, a fellow co-star Naya Rivera who plays Santana in ‘Glee’ came out with a book called ‘Sorry NOT Sorry’ where she hinted a possible altercation that occurred with ex-co-star Lea Michele sparking rumours that Lea was a difficult person to deal with on set.
Similarly, earlier this week, another ex-co-star Samantha Marie Ware took to twitter to put the Glee star on blast accusing Lea of making her experience working on the show “a living hell”.
As a response to the Black Lives Matter protest, Lea’s posted on twitter demonstrating her solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement. It all went down like this:
Samantha Ware replied to Lea’s tweet.
Lea was yet to respond to these allegations. However, fans, critics, and other co-stars including Amber Riley, Dabier and Alex Newell jumped in to support Samantha’s allegations.
Since then, the food-prep brand HelloFresh, announced that they are discontinuing their partnership with Lea.
Lea recently posted her partnership with HelloFresh on Instagram. However, the brand as now discontinued their partnership with Lea in response to these allegations stating that they do not condone discriminative behaviours of any kind.
Yesterday, a day after this incidence, Lea took to Instagram to respond and attempted an apology.
