Falling.

Have you ever had the same dream over and over?

In my repeat dream, I’m running.

I’m running fast in an open field.

I know there’s no one around me, and no one chasing me.

But, I keep running.

My sleeping self laughs at dream me.

Ha.

But, I keep running.

The open, grassy field is bright. Almost too bright.

The sun shines off the blades of grass and I feel the wind blow across my face.

And then … darkness.

As quick as a blown circuit. Darkness.

But, I keep running.

Running from no one.

And, my sleeping self laughs at dream me.

I’m not running from anyone.

Anyone, but me.

The grassy field turns to rock, and I hear something ahead.

I keep running.
