Once my broken heart was overshadowed by the dark
It lost all of its spark
Oh the pain of it
The shame of it
It messed with my mind
I thought life was so unkind
No prayer I said seemed to have an answer
My life seemed a total disaster
I still loved the one who let me go
I don’t know why I couldn’t let go
I remembered the tender times
When we laughed at lame jokes
And, we had our private party times…
