My Crush, My Flame
A peek into red shelves of my heart
The red shelves of my naïve heart,
There’s a secret I’ve been safekeeping,
A warm flame that burns softly,
Creating the shadows of my dreaming.
Every passing second that we share,
Is a tune, sweet and loving,
But in the reticence of this night,
It’s your company I’m still searching.
I watch you from afar,
A silent admirer of your grace,
Wishing I could bridge the distance,
And fly to meet you face to face.
Few feet feel like thousand miles,
The time and space appear dreamy,
Encouraging me to go close to you,
But stupid me, say day is gloomy.
The fear holds me still,
In its spell, I’m firmly bound,
Anxious to speak even a single word,
That in my heart, constantly resound.
All year I sang solo tunes of life,
Filled with vulnerability and monochromes each day,
Will you join to make it a duet, Bae,
Adding new frequencies and colors of joy.
The loneliness of the unknown night,
I walk to think, to seek, and to smile,
For maybe in another time,
Our paths will finally intertwine.
I want to cherish this secret of us,
Want to hold it close, but let it fly,
For even in the slim shadows,
Love finds its way to multiply.
The benign climb of every dawn,
I find joy in the pleasant unknown,
For in the charm of this craving,
My heart has truly grown.
