When you die, it is uncommon to become a guardian angel, more so your ex’s.

The strangest thing is being present when he sleeps with other women. He’s not clumsy anymore. His creativity is impressive when you consider he used to have a hard time removing my bra. Well, we were teenagers, and now he’s a man.

Isabella looked at the calendar on the wall.

Five years have passed. I don’t know how long he mourned me. My assignment was not immediate. It’s not like I married him, but I loved him. Or whatever a girl learning to shave for her boy might feel.

Isabella noticed the bed headboard stopped banging the wall.

They finished.

His routine hasn’t changed much. There he goes to pee. The water jet sounds louder than I remembered. I guess it’s true you don’t stop growing until you’re twenty-something.

Isabella directed her gaze to the girl on the bed.

It’s sad. Her aura is warm and has a nice yellow color.

He came out of the bathroom, picked up his scattered clothes, and started to dress.
