You taste of heaven, you sweet gift of God
Your absence in my life leaves me feeling so odd.

You stimulate me, and brightness comes to my soul
Oh, come to me — come to me before I grow old.

You have been with me so long; I don’t remember the start
You hold a singular and special space in my heart.

My love for you is as endless as the days
As our love affair reblooms and renews every May.

The reunion between us grows hot into July
My desires climb higher, I cannot lie.

I cannot get enough of your juice and your flesh
As I let your tasty goodness drip down my chest.

My tastebuds are overwhelmed, and my tongue has orgasms
A love like ours is met with cheap, tawdry sarcasm.

Come September, it’s now time for our annual goodbye.
Our climax is over, and there are tears in my eyes.

All of Humanity cannot do what you can do for me.
True happiness can only be found in one word — we.

Watermelon, Watermelon, this you must know
You complete each summer; until then, I just hope.
