“Till Death Do Us Part”
A poem to you
“Till death do us part”
Words that birth me anew.
A life I dreamt of for years,
Becomes mine in a second.
I gaze into your eyes,
The eyes of my wife,
My love,
My life.
My happiness dealt
With a heavy hand by you.
My heart is yours to keep.
Half my soul lives within you.
As we grow old,
I wish for all our moments to be shared.
The vines of our lives intertwined.
The sweet flavour of joy
I shall forever taste upon your lips.
If I am to leave you here,
And find myself at the gates,
I beg of you,
Please don’t make me wait.
My selfishness needs you.
My soul needs you.
I need you.
Please,
If I am to leave before you,
Follow me soon.
I cannot finally have a life with you,
Only to be separated with you in death.
Till death do us part,
But please,
Join me once more in the after life.
For I won’t be accepted behind those gates,
With only half a soul
