You Should Start Enjoying Your Time Together!
You deserve to be with someone too
Sleep is a vital, often neglected, component of every person’s overall health and well-being. Sleep is important because it enables the body to repair and be fit and ready for another day (Jenna F., 2019).
There are times in our lives where we have a shortage of time, are too busy to hang out with others, or just be with them. Our passion and work could possibly be what keep us from meeting our friends.
As we grow older, we realize how limited and valuable our time is. There are scenarios that you’ll probably encounter someday where you don’t have time for yourself.
This also shows how sociable you are to others. Are you the type of person who, after work, goes out with their friends? Or preferably, just go home alone? To put it simply, we’re going to talk about how important it is to spend time with others.
So I’ll give 3 points to understand how lending your time to people affects you personally.
Spending With Others is Like Spending With Yourself
You are also included in the party. Having your time with others is also like having your own spending time for yourself. However, you’re focused more on others than on yourself.
Giving yourself a break in life is more important than you think. Consequently, having healthy relationships leads to good physical and mental health. Having a close circle of friends can decrease your risk of health problems like heart attack and diabetes.
You’ll Get to Know Others More
You’ll realize how big the world is when you think that the earth doesn’t only revolve for you but all, seeing what others do in their lives and sharing experiences.
Having strong social ties can also decrease feelings of loneliness, which evidence shows can take a toll on your longevity (Arlin C. 2021). This also develops your social experience; you choose the right words on how to contribute to a discussion as you also develop your relationship with them.
Spending Time With Others Reduces Stress
Good friends are good for your health, according to MayoClinic (N.D.). Friends can help you celebrate good times and provide support during bad times. They also:
- Increase your sense of belonging and purpose
- Boost your happiness and reduce your stress
- Improve your self-confidence and self-worth
Friends also play a significant role in promoting your overall health. Adults with strong social support have a reduced risk of many significant health problems, including depression. Through this, it relates to how being with others affects you mentally. Having people with you improves how you think of yourself.
Time is of the Essence
For me, I think love is giving time to others, even when you’re busy or on a short schedule. Lending your time to others when you are free is good, but it is better to lend your time even when you are busy.
Then again, it doesn’t have to be with friends — family and significant others are included too. And overall, change your phase sometimes, enjoy your time with others.
