Another major mistake I made with that ex-boyfriend
Many of you thought I took too long to break up with my boyfriend, so this story will make you roll your eyes. But it probably won’t surprise you.
I almost bought a house with him a few days before I finally said goodbye.
“You guys. I messed up badly.”
“I am scared of what might happen. I could use your support right now”.
I was sitting with two couples from my church group, who have been a part of my life for the past few years. We meet every other Wednesday night at our leaders’ home, sharing our lives and teachings and supporting each other in our faith journeys.
My wobbly voice told them I’d made a serious mess-up.
They knew my relationship with a guy I met online had started with promise. However, as time passed, I realized it was not what I sought. Breaking up with him was taking me too long. I was unhappy but sat on the fencepost, wondering if I was the problem. I had not had a romantic relationship for nine years.
Maybe I was being too picky.
