One Techno Festival, 2 Rounds of Investment and 3 Foxity Night Guides
It’s festival season! Spring is upon us and Winter is almost gone.
This spring, we look forward to curating the best Festivals, Gigs and Arena Events/Concerts by some of the hippest acts in Europe/India (and indeed, the world) for our International audience.
After the comforting darkness of winter, Spring brings with it energy, ambition and a return to productivity. No wonder then, that this is a season of much reverence and celebration in eastern culture.
One such festival of spring is Holi. Traditionally celebrated at the end of winter to signify the triumph of good over evil, Holi today is one of the most vibrant and international festivals of India. The streets in most Indian cities on this day are a melee of colors thrown together — teeming with men and women in different states of Inebriation. Holi is also one Indian festival that celebrates duality, the yin and yang of life in its many forms.
So, it is perhaps fitting that we kick off Spring with a special one-of-its-kind festival being curated by the good people over at LOCALS, a group of Technophiles who are shaping the nascent Techno scene in the country. They’ve put together a line-up of about 40 artists who will be playing Non-Stop Techno music for 3 whole days starting the 2nd to the 4th of March at a Castle/Palace/Fort in Jaipur, Rajasthan. We, at FOXITY are psyched to be partnering them as they intend to build this into the biggest Techno-Party in the country over the years to come.
Tickets to the DISTRICT festival are available now on FOXITY, with a host of accommodation options. We are also in the process of curating special packages for folks in Delhi to get to the festival, which will be announced closer to the actual event. Also coming out this spring will be a new city edition of our FOXITY NIGHT GUIDE, which we launched first in Delhi last year, and in a limited run in Berlin this Winter.
We are pleased to inform you guys that we will be coming up with our Bangalore/Delhi/Berlin editions this Spring in a whole new avatar, and are currently closing partnerships for the same. So, look out for the Night Guide if you live in one of these 3 cities.
In other news, we have also managed to close a round of investment(#2) with SCINCURATOR INC. and we hope to use this money to make FOXITY the global nightlife company that we envisioned. More deets on this soon, but here’s a sneak peek.
