The peaceful Hangzhou

Hangzhou is a city filled with beautiful sights — temples, a giant lake and centuries old tea fields. It is also home to the headquarters of the Alibaba Group. These images are from my first visit there, to the Lingyin temple.

A fellow traveller waiting at the train station, I didn’t ask what he was smoking.
Just arrived, first sights of the giant Buddhas carved in stone
At one of the temple you can buy locally produced tea. The price are outrageous but I’m sure the taste is worth it.
The monks are also excellent entrepreneurs: prices start at about 28k USD for handmade, locally produced, lifesize Buddhist paraphernalia
Chris, My travelling buddy. Thanks for taking me to such a nice place!
Finally, almost reached the top…
