On today’s episode of DUMMY, I have an interview with Steve Barron, director of movies you’ve probably heard of like Coneheads and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and one that you might not know about — at least I didn’t — but pretty much all soccer fans should see. Mike Bassett has just won his first trophy, the Mr. Clutch Cup with lower-league side Norwich City (that’s him in the image above, trying to trick the ref into thinking there’s no stoppage time during the cup final at Wembley), when the FA offers him the job of England manager… because nobody else will take it.
