Sevilla defender subtly relieves himself on the bench

Sometimes, it really pays to have a friend who will protect your modesty when you need to urinate in front of thousands of people.

Sevilla’s veteran defender Fernando Navarro discovered this during his side’s 3–0 win over Elche at the weekend, during which he was caught short on the bench. A teammate took the quantifiable risk of getting splash-back on the inside of his jacket by helping to shield Navarro’s shame as he drained the main vein.

In the end, the 32-year-old substitute wasn’t actually used so he probably could have afforded to run back to the dressing room to take care of business. Regardless, he found a much classier solution to his problem than Jens Lehmann…
