Alive Eatery

It is always thrilling to see a cafe or coffee shop opening a second branch, or an IG shop becoming a stand alone cafe/coffee shop. I have been to Alive Food Co. inside Form Society before, and it was exciting to see that Alive Eatery is now a stand alone restaurant on Yu Chau Street.

Inside Alive Eatery

They are keeping their stylish sourdough display!

Pork Skewer

My friend and I were still quite full from breakfast, and we had laid our eyes on the desserts, so we only ordered this main of Pork Skewer to share. The pork was really meaty and tender! Love the roasted chili sauce. What surprised me most was the layer of thinly sliced cucumber with yogurt underneath the skewers. They were very refreshing and went really well with the pork skewer! Not to miss them!

Caramelized Soft Bread Pudding
Caramelized Soft Bread Pudding

We came for the Caramelized Soft Bread Pudding, and this was actually the first time I had a proper bread pudding. The moist and dense milk-flavoured bread was definitely my thing! The caramelized surface gave a crispy texture to the pudding. The lemon sorbet and nuts made a great side.

Chocolate & Sourdough

It might seem strange at first to see the olive oil on top of the salted chocolate, yet, the olive oil didn’t have a strong flavor, it only added extra smoothness to the salted chocolate paste. Absolutely love everything on the plate! I wish there were more sourdough pieces to go with the delicious chocolate!

Definitely coming back to try the tortilla and smoothie bowl!
