Inside C.C. Cafe

Located next to two other new and Instagrammable cafes, C.C. Cafe is a relatively “down-to-earth” non-gimmicky cafe that serves pasta, all day breakfast and coffee at a reasonable price, which is a bit lower than other cafes in the hood.

Spaghetti with Red Wine Braised Beef Shanks

I chose this Spaghetti with Red Wine Braised Beef Shanks as lunch. The spaghetti was very al dente, and the red wine braised beef shanks was quite tender. I like the dressing and the pasta, it’s just that the pasta wasn’t cooked with the stew (i.e. the red wine braised beef shanks was probably poured on top of the cooked spaghetti before serving), so the pasta tasted a bit plain…

Flat White

I also ordered a cup of flat white to go as a set. Not surprised, the flat white tasted like a cappuccino more than a flat white, you can just tell from the appearance, too much milk foam…and the latte art that shouldn’t be that elaborated on flat white (due to the milk/coffee ratio)…

Nevertheless, it’s an enjoyable lunch.
