PAN de PAIN Pancake & Sweets

There is always a long queue outside PAN de PAIN Pancake & Sweets in Tsim Sha Tsui. After trying this new branch in Kwun Tong, I keep wondering why there is always a long queue…The pancakes are quite ordinary and there are better choices for pancakes…

Salty Caramel Cappuccino Souffle (HKD$98)

I ordered a Salty Caramel Cappuccino Souffle, which was neither surprising, nor able to bring joy… It was quite ordinary, and to be honest, some small cafes can even do a better job than PAN de PAIN. The only thing I like about this dish was the scoop of Haagen-Dazs cappuccino ice-cream with chocolate chunks…The souffle pancakes were not as airy as expected. The doughnut halves were a bit too sweet for this dish…and their heaviness kinda squashed the souffle pancakes, maybe this is why they are not as airy as expected.

Milk Pudding Strawberry Yogurt Latte (HKD$48)

This Milk Pudding Strawberry Yogurt Latte was surprisingly good though. The strawberry yogurt was very enjoyable, rich in non-artificial strawberry flavour and not overly sweet. The milk pudding layer at the bottom was oh-so-good too! I would recommend you to try this drink rather than the souffle pancakes.
