Inside Retold

In its soft opening stage, Retold is a cafe in Wan Chai with an industrial interior design of a yellow colour tone.

The owner must be a cat lover, as there are quite a number of decoration with the theme of cats.

This row of futuristic triangular lights is so eye catching!

Spice Chai Latte (HKD$60)
Spice Chai Latte (HKD$60)

I ordered a cup of Spice Chai Latte to go with a bagel as a light lunch. This cup of flavoured latte is definitely not cheap, but it’s worth the money. Made with a shot of espresso, together with chai tea, oat milk and chilli syrup, this is not your ordinary sugary and syrupy chai latte, as you can taste the coffee in it. Yet, the flavourings masked the fruitiness of the coffee. The rich and strong chai tea flavour was very enjoyable though. More like a winter Christmassy drink.

Mocha Coffee Handmade Bagel (HKD$48)

This handmade Mocha Coffee bagel was oh so good! The surface was so crunchy and flakey! The lava mocha coffee filing inside was more on the chocolate side than coffee side. A very satisfying fluffy bagel indeed.
