Vego Coffee

Spotted Vego Coffee when I was on my way to a little staycation, and I decided to enjoy a fika first.

There is a street-facing bar table with an open window, perfect for people and car watching. Yet, it could be quite warm for a sunny summer afternoon. I was lucky to get a seat at the other bar table facing the wall, but it was still quite warm as I was sitting next to the entrance.

Vegan Matcha Cake, Caramel Charcoal Latte

The Vegan Matcha Cake was moist and dense. Sharing the common issue of vegan cake, this piece of cake was loosely held together without the use of butter. Therefore, it fell apart when I was digging into it, and there were quite a bit of crumbs. Also, it’s far more on the bitter side, not quite what I expected. The cranberry bits saved it by giving it a refreshing taste.

On the contrary, the Caramel Charcoal Latte was way better than expected. With a balanced caramel and charcoal flavours, the smooth latte had a rich and splendid texture, taste and aroma. Highly recommend you to try this.

The waffles other people ordered looked appealing, might try that next time.
