“There’s no sense in going out of your way to get somebody to like you.” — Ash Ketchum

You may or may not like us very much after you find out that we cut in half a pack of original English Pokémon cards. Why? Well, because that’s what we do around here, we cut things open. We also spent quite a bit of money buying other rare card packs off eBay to see if we could find a holographic or a PSA 10 Charizard- if we’re lucky.

For this video, we asked our friends, Josh & Cassie (from Catch Em All Cards YouTube channel) to help us open and value the cards. They obviously had no idea we were going to cut up some of the cards. All the packs we opened are vintage, and include; a fossil 1st edition pack, a Base Set 2 pack, a Jungle Unlimited pack, a 1996 Japanese pack, A Jungle Booster 1st edition pack, and more.

The first 4 packs had nothing of value inside, but on opening our fifth pack Lincoln found a Pikachu and a holographic Venomoth! Apparently, we can sell the Pikachu for $400, and the Venomoth for around $250, not bad for one pack.

In our 6th pack, we found a Dark Weezing, and in our second last pack, Lincoln found a holographic Swablu.

Yes, I left the cut in half original English Pokémon cards to the end. You’ll want to watch the video to experience the suspense, but you will be happy to know that no valuable cards were found in that pack. Instead, we found the worst rare card of the entire set- Imposter Professor Oak.

Let us know below what cards you have in your collection? Or did you take a gamble like us and buy a bunch of unopened packs off eBay?
