LEGO’s slogan is “only the best is good enough” and boy, do they live by that.

If you are a fan of LEGO, you seriously need to consider visiting the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. I’m not sure you will ever find such a unique and creative building in the entire world. We are so excited to show you what’s inside!

Upon entry, you will find a huge LEGO shop to your right, and a LEGO café to your left. You really have to keep your eyes open for all the LEGO references in this place. At the café, we found the overpriced coffee, as seen in the LEGO Movie, for $37.

One thing that is impossible to miss on the ground floor is the world’s largest LEGO structure in the world, in the form of a tree. At the LEGO House, they call it the tree of creativity. We were very fortunate to have the Senior Experience Designer at the LEGO House, Stuart Harris, tell us more about the tree and the other rooms and structures in this house.

Here’s what you need to know about the tree.

· It was built using over 6.3 million bricks.

· Over 50 feet tall.

· The build time was 24,000 hours. If you were to build this tree on your own using average work times, it would take you 12 years to build.

· The tree is very strong and has a large steel pipe that runs up the middle of the tree.

· The tops of different branches hold different LEGO structures.

· At the top, you can see that the tree is unfinished and will continue to ‘grow’ as LEGO progresses.

On the top floor, we found three giant dinosaurs, which Stuart explained how represents LEGO’s three core building systems- Duplo, LEGO Systems, and LEGO Technic. Each dinosaur also has its own egg, which will ‘hatch’ at some future point.

The next section of LEGO house was one that Lincoln wanted to spend days just looking at all the characters and buildings- the world explorer floor. This section houses different LEGO set-ups of different ‘worlds’. Again, keep your eyes out for LEGO references, and other creative characters.

If you’ve ever wanted to create your own LEGO movie, the set room in LEGO House is the place to do it. They have created several small stages where you can film stop motion videos with different LEGO.

What do you think? Is a trip to Denmark on your bucket list now? Check out our video, because there is much more we didn’t include in this article that you will want to see- including how a LEGO brick is made.
