№43 — Rhine river cruise
I have spent a lot of time in Düsseldorf recently for work related tasks. While initially disliking Düsseldorf a lot, I’ve grown accustomed to the scenery which is especially nice during the summer. Walking or running along the Rhine really is a nice experience. Also, the local beers and food options are not to be underestimated.
So far, I have only seen the river from the banks and the city from the air — while approaching the airport. However, watching the city and everything upstream from Düsseldorf from the perspective of the river was a new thing for me. That’s why I was particularly excited when we went on an afternoon cruise up and down the river.
As it was a company event together with the client, I cannot be too detailed, but it was very nice to come together on a boat, have some food and some drinks, and simply relax on a boat while viewing Northrhine-Westphalia from the river. Definitely an experience worth repeating.
