Gmunden from the Grünberg

The Grünberg near Gmunden is not a particularly high mountain. It is also not a particularly difficult mountain to climb. And it is definitely not a mountain that is hardly ever visited. Still, it makes a nice 1.5 hours walk. Great when you have friends over who are not the keenest mountaineers.

Platform with beautiful views on the Traunsee

In addition to the nice walk, a canopy walk just opened last weekend and it was good opportunity to check it out. Frankly, a canopy walk is not the most exciting thing in the world and the one on the Grünberg is not an exception. You have great views from the platforms and once everything grows back, it will certainly look interesting.

The main tower

All in all, it is a nice addition to the other attractions they have built around the Grünberg — a new gondola, a summer toboggan run, and a 3D archery range — but nothing that is a must see. If you have kids or a day to kill, it is definitely worth the walk up.
