I’m excited to share that Upthere is out of beta and available for everyone.

Upthere is a smarter way to keep, find, and share all of your files. Instead of storing your files on your devices which takes up lots of space, we safely and privately store your files directly in the cloud. Upthere breaks through the capacity limits of your devices providing one unified place for all your files that you can access from any device.

Adam explains it well.

Upthere Home
The Upthere Home app is the window to everything you keep in Upthere. It is designed to handle a lifetime of personal photos, videos, music, and documents.

Search and automatic categorization
Upthere automatically categorizes and groups files together for easy browsing. When you want to find something specific, you can type or tap to find things by date, place, or type.

Sharing
Everything you keep in Upthere is private by default. Since it’s already in the cloud, sharing is much easier. No text messages, emails, or telegrams required. Simply select your items, choose some people, and Upthere handles the rest. No data has to move around, so your friends see what you shared instantly.

Loops
The folder has done its duty, but it is no longer suited for helping us organize our things. In its place, Loops. A Loop can include any file, and any file can be in any number of Loops. Loops can be private for you, shared with others, or published through a web link. Anyone in a Loop can invite others, add content, and make comments.

Full fidelity
Upthere maintains the full fidelity of every file. We don’t compress your files. We don’t impose arbitrary size limits. You’ve created your content in a certain way and we respect that.

Speed
Upthere is fast. From the beginning we wanted Upthere to feel as fast as local storage so we could live out of it every day without compromise. We believe Upthere is the fastest personal cloud storage available today.

Here is what a few of our beta users have to say about Upthere.

UpOS
The Upthere core technology is a new operating system called UpOS™. UpOS is built to support an ever-expanding amount of content being created in different formats from different devices and services. It is a deeply integrated set of technologies that spans device and cloud, connecting the two together to deliver a smarter storage experience.

The cloud part reliably stores content and makes it ubiquitously accessible, discoverable, and shareable. On the device, the UpOS framework, embedded in the Upthere Home app, transparently performs operations directly to the cloud. By bridging cloud and device, UpOS makes it possible to treat the cloud as our primary storage place, bypassing the limitations imposed by legacy technologies like backup and sync.

Upthere Home for Web featuring Touch Search
We are also introducing a preview release of Upthere Home for Web. It features a unique approach to sifting through your things with a new technology called Touch Search™. With Touch Search, you refine your searches by “touching” relevant keywords like places, dates, and types. Touch Search filters down your content and then predicts your next search, offering only relevant search options. Upthere Home for Web Preview is available here.

Pricing and availability
Upthere Home is available today for Android, iPhone, Mac, and Windows (beta). Upthere is just USD $4.99/month which includes the Upthere Home app for all platforms, the Upthere service, and 200GB of storage. If you need more storage, you can upgrade in 100GB increments for $1.99/month. We think this lets you better match your plan to what you actually use. Notably, content that is shared with you does NOT count against your storage quota. All new users can get started today with a free 3-month trial. No credit card required.

Upthere Home is available now for Android, iPhone, Mac, and Windows (beta).

We believe Upthere is the future of personal storage and we hope you do too. Join us.

See you Upthere,
Chris Bourdon
