This week’s Loop of the Week features the work of food blogger and photographer Marika Jayne. Marika moved to San Francisco from San Diego a little over a year ago, and initially started her blog Café Collector as an excuse to get out and explore the city. She would pick a cafe that she found on Instagram, Yelp, or through a friend’s recommendation, and would grab some coffee and walk around the area.
Along the way, Marika has found many hidden gems in the SF café scene, but her favorite by far is Jane. There are two locations, ‘Jane on Fillmore’ and ‘Jane on Larkin,’ and they are opening a third soon, ‘Jane on Geary.’ Marika swears by their avocado toast — which comes with pickled jalapeños, shallots, and a soft boiled egg on top — but also loves their gluten-free pastries, smoothies, and coffee.
