Our Loop of the Week features Charlie Martinez, an enthusiastic drone photographer from Chicago.
Charlie loves photography, and anyone can sense his clear passion through his impressive Instagram portfolio. His specialities include aerial photography, portraits, landscape, longexposure photography, and urban photography.
Charlie attempts to capture every moment that’ll ignite a spark inside. Sometimes, it’s that “aha” moment. Other times, it’s that “this is freakin’ awesome” moment. More often than not, it’s both — aha, this is freakin’ awesome. Kind of like this photo of a 112-year old house called Clingstone that he took while exploring Rhode Island:
Traveling around the world excites Charlie, and he believes that photography complements his thirst for adventurous journeys. He fell in love with drones upon discovering the unlimited ways that drones capture the world without depending on a plane or helicopter.
When he’s not snapping photos with his drone, Charlie enjoys watching movies and playing video games. “These hobbies bring ideas to his future photo projects — yeah, I know, everything ties back into photography,” he lightly laughs.
In the future, he sees himself exploring the globe as a drone photographer and continuing to share all the beauty this world has to offer.
