This week’s Loop of the Week features photographer Noam Chen’s awe-inspiring pieces. Noam was born in a small town at the heart of northern Israel and currently splits his time between Israel and California. Like many people, photography began as a hobby for Noam. When he was younger, his fascination for animals ignited. Noam’s desire to document the world of wildlife led to his passion for photography. He recorded all the animals he came across in his backyard. He visited several zoos and documented endangered species. That’s when Noam realized he loved picture-taking as much as he loved the subjects in the photos.

Some of Noam’s most memorable moments include the time he toured Europe’s many zoos, the days he documented WWII sites and memorials in Berlin, the chance to snap photos of Jerusalem for the Israeli government, and the opportunity to work in Hollywood.

From these unforgettable experiences, it’s easy to see how Noam’s style of photography is, as he describes, “vibrant with great deal of attention to details.”

Through his photographs, Noam intends to educate people about the history and importance of meaningful places that have yet to be discovered. In addition, he hopes to raise awareness about each place’s true reality, which often times contradicts people’s prior misconceptions.
