Vacation blackouts are a block of dates during which people cannot take time off due to specific business needs. For instance, increase in traffic (i.e., during the holidays), special events (internal product launches) etc. You can now set up blackout dates and prevent people from taking time off during these dates.

AttendanceBot is intelligent enough to not only stop people from taking time off on blacked-out dates, but it will also automatically compute the actual days of taken when your vacation range carries one or many blacked-out dates (during which you will have to be in the office). These dates are also included in your team’s calendar and people will be prompted to warn them against taking time off during these dates.

If you absolutely need to take time off, you can always request someone with admin or HR privileges to do it for you.
